Fellowship Groups
Wedding Band
A married couples group that meets for dinner
out and then comes back to the church for devotions, a meeting, and
games.
This group has been the life of the church
since it was founded almost 50 years ago. They continue to fund missions
in the community and youth who get involved in camping and the wider
church. They decorate the Sanctuary for Advent/Christmas.
This group meets the 4th Tuesday of every month, beginning
with dinner out at 5:30 pm and the meeting at the church around
7:30 pm.
Women's Guild
The Women's Guild of Zion goes all the way back to
the original Frauenfrien, established with the church in 1852.
Like most church women's groups, these ladies have been the workhorse of
the church. Their Ice Cream Social, Rummage Sales, and Christmas Cookie
Sale, have brought in over $5000 a year. Most of this they give to
charitable causes, and the rest go towards church renovations and
other needed funds.
They gather for dessert at 1 pm and they have their meeting
from 2-3 pm.
Sewing Group
This group gathers to sew blankets for Church World
Service. They meet at 9 am on each Tuesday of the week.
Sometimes they share coffee and donuts, sometimes they bring their
sack lunches. This Group shares some mighty good discussions,
stories , histories and local gossip.
